Strategic Planning and Visioning: SWOT Analysis

One of the first workshops for administrators in the Planning for Success process was to perform a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis regarding the overall PK-12 experience. In doing so, the following opportunities were identified. Please note: These are not comprehensive. They are representative and more will be identified as the process continues.

Opportunities: Practice

  • Common experiences for children across buildings
  • More alignment vertically and horizontally
  • System for continual reflection, evaluation, and measured change
  • Greater clarity in planning; clear and shared systems of the planning process (tools)
  • Opportunity for organized systems
  • Clear outline of decision and change process

  • Greater collaboration especially central office and buildings
