Help Keep School Community Healthy – Message from Health Services
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we return from February vacation, the Weston School Nurses are asking for your assistance in helping to keep the school community healthy.
Fever
If your child is not feeling well before school, please check your child’s temperature. A child should not be sent to school with a fever. A child with a temperature of 100.0 degrees F or greater (37.7 degrees C) will be sent home. A child must be fever free without fever reducing medication, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) for 24 hours before she/he returns to school.
Diarrhea/Vomiting
If your child is actively suffering from diarrhea/vomiting they should stay at home.
Strep Throat
If your child has a positive throat culture, he/she should stay home until they have been on antibiotics for 24 hours.
