Message from Superintendent Connolly (re: Superintendent’s Goals, New Homework Guidelines, Proposed 2019-20 School Calendar)
I hope that everyone has transitioned relatively smoothly into the school year that is well underway. There are a few things that I want to bring your attention to and provide you links so that you are able to find information easily.
First, are my goals for this year. These goals, approved by the School Committee, are reflective of the Strategic Plan that many of you assisted with their creation last year. I am excited about much of the work that is happening on behalf of children in the district, and this work is demonstrated in this document.

The second item I would like to share with you are the new Homework Guidelines created through a collaborative process over the past year. Although this is a culmination of that work, this document may need to be altered as we roll it out and discover ways we might continue to improve upon this work.
The last thing I would like to bring to your attention is next year’s proposed academic calendar, which follows the same general format as the current year. Of note, teachers will begin working prior to Labor Day and the December break is long as Christmas falls on a Wednesday. The School Committee is scheduled to approve the calendar in November. Please send any feedback on the calendar to my office at superintendent@weston.org.

I hope you find this to be informative, and as always please reach out if you have any questions.
Dr. Midge Connolly
