K-12 Math Program Review (February 25 & 27)
On Tuesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 27, 2020, a committee of educators will visit our schools to evaluate our K-12 Mathematics program. The purpose of this external review is to collect data and respond to a charge set forth by the School Committee. This charge stemmed from the 2019 self-study by Weston’s K-12 Math Department. The committee will review materials, observe teaching and learning, and hear from faculty, administrators, families and community members. Kate Ariemma Marin, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Education Studies at Stonehill College is chair of this committee. Other members include math educators from the public and private sectors.
Parents/guardians and the community are invited to attend a forum on Tuesday, February 25, 8:30-9:15 am in the Field School Cafe to provide feedback to the committee.
