Hello Weston Families,

On Monday evening (July 20) we presented the first draft of our School Reopening Plan (link below) to the School Committee (click here for the link to the meeting; the discussion begins at about minute 50). The plan contains the three models required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE): all in-school, hybrid, and all remote models. It also describes the Remote Learning Academy for families who want to keep their children home next year. The plan outlines risk reduction guidelines for students and staff and has sections that address student services, social emotional learning, and technology. The plan is a work in progress, and we will continue to improve upon it in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, we would like to collect your initial thoughts about sending your students back to school in the fall. Once you finish reading the plan, please fill out the Decisions for September Schooling survey. Your survey answers are non-binding. Your responses will help us plan class sectioning for both our in-school and remote programs, bus transportation routes, and device allocation.

Please complete this survey by Friday, July 24th. Thank you very much for your participation.

With warm regards,

Midge Connolly, Superintendent
