Elementary Schools Global Diversity Fair
Dear Field, Country, and Woodland School Families,
Our first ever combined elementary Global Diversity Fair on January 26th was a big success! We had a record turn-out for a truly spectacular evening, which featured 30+ booths representing the rich traditions of numerous countries, cultures, and regions, as well as talented student and adult music and dance performances. We are grateful to be part of this amazing, diverse school community and for the chance that we had to learn about one another. It was a night to remember, and we are already looking forward to next year!
The Global Diversity Fair was made possible thanks to the hard work of so many dedicated people in our elementary school community. Thank you to ALL the families working behind the scenes to plan last night’s celebration. We wish to extend a special thanks to our Event Chair and Field School parent, Catalina Salebe, for working tirelessly to make this year’s Global Diversity Fair a success—all while hosting a booth too! Thanks also to Field School parent Pramita Chowrira, who generously donated 300 passports for our students to enjoy during their global journey, along with the self-inking stamps they received in their booklets at each booth, and our map banners—all of which were printed by her business. And to the families who hosted booths and put on performances: you are the heart of this very special event, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you. You went above and beyond, making this event incredibly meaningful for everyone in attendance. Finally, thank you to all who attended. It was wonderful to see families from all five schools, along with faculty, staff, and administrators, come together in celebration of our diverse community.
For those who were unable to make it or those wanting to relive the fun, we encourage you to take a look at the photos below.
We hope to see everyone again next year!
