High School/Middle School Campus Master Plan Study Update
Dear Weston School Community,
Over the next few weeks, the Weston High School and Middle School Educational Visioning Group (EVG) – a group of Weston Public Schools, Weston Middle School, and Weston High School leadership, administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community partners will participate in three virtual Educational Visioning Workshops run by Lavallee Brensinger Architects and New Vista Design. Each workshop will be a collaborative session designed to identify high-level educational and architectural priorities that will inform the development of Weston’s High School/Middle School Campus Master Plan Study. Participants will be led through a step-by-step visioning process to capture their best thinking about WMS’s and WHS’s current and future academic goals and priorities and connect them to best practices and possibilities in innovative school facility design.
We are looking for 8-10 parent and/or community volunteers to participate in these workshops. Workshops will build upon one and another and, while participants should attend all three workshops, attending two out of three is also possible. All workshops will be virtual and will take place in the evening to make it easier for people to attend. Each workshop will start and end on time.
Outlines for each workshop are included below for your review. Interested participants are asked to submit a statement of interest to Derrek Joyce, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, by Thursday, November 21, 2024. While all submissions are encouraged, the administration will prioritize parents and community members who have had direct experience with the WMS and WHS buildings. We will notify those selected to join on Friday, November 22.
