MRS. MAGUIRE’S
MONTHLY MESSAGE
February 2018

Dear Country School Families,
We have officially passed the halfway mark of the school year! It is a wonderful time to reflect on all the great learning that has happened thus far and to look forward to what remains this year. On February 16, you will receive your child’s report card. While this document is intended for Parents/Guardians, it is a nice time to celebrate the learning your child has accomplished and to set goals for the remainder of the school year. Having positive conversations about school helps to instill a love of learning for years to come.
Over the next few months, we will be working as a school community to develop Core Values for Country School. Core Values are what support the vision, shape the culture and reflect what a school values. They become the essence and ethos of the school. By fostering an environment where core values are the focal point, we encourage positive academic, social and emotional development for all members of the school community.
On Wednesday, February 28th, I invite you all for a Parent Coffee during which we will begin a discussion about what might shape our core values. Everyone’s input is valuable in this process. In addition to the coffee on the 28th, I ask that you take a few minutes to fill out this survey: Country School Core Values
This is sure to be an exciting and valuable process. Thank you in advance for your support and participation. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a wonderful month!
