Country CARES Tree Update!

The Country CARES Tree project is moving forward! The trees will commemorate the resilience, growth, and grit of the CS community over the past year. They will also serve as a nod to our CARES core values, collaborate with our science and social studies curriculum, and enhance the natural beauty of our campus.
The School Committee will voted “YES!” on our tree proposal on Tuesday night.  We will be planting on Wednesday morning! We have four beautiful, native plantings; two trees and two shrubs. The plantings are picked out and ready to go, and we are hopeful that we can continue to add more plantings and upgrades to the outdoor learning space.
We’re working with the administration, town officials and the Tree Advisory Group on a small Arbor Day Celebration planned for Friday, April 30th, to coincide with Arbor Day celebrations around the country. In the coming weeks, the CS students will help decide the name for the newly enhanced outdoor learning space.
