Country School PTO Announcements for the week of  January 10 to January 14, 2022

1. WEEFC Update – CS WON!

Congratulations, Country School! With 35% participation in the winter fundraiser, Country School WON the visit from an ice cream truck later this spring. Thank you so much to all the families who donated and participated! WEEFC grants benefit all WPS students, preschool through grade 12, and your help makes them possible!

2. Covid Updates

  • Jamy Gaynor, Director of Health Services, sent this update Sunday night, lots of helpful information, please read!

  • For the next few weeks, CS pool testing will take place on Tuesday rather than the usual Friday.

  • If your student doesn’t yet participate in pool testing, click HERE to register. Registration and the testing at school are both quick and easy!

  • District Covid data found HERE.

  • If your child feels unwell, please keep them home!

  • Need help testing? Have Covid questions? Email Nurse Janet or Nurse Jamy

  • If your child has a positive test, please take a photo and let Nurse Janet know.  weinsteinj@weston.org

  • With lots of non-covid runny noses, it is helpful to send multiple clean masks with your student.

  • For the next few weeks, students are advised to wear KN95 masks or double mask when possible. Masks are also available for students from the front office at all schools.

3. CS Gear

Spruce up your car, fridge, your student’s water bottle, and everything else with CS magnets and stickers! Stickers and magnets are $5 each. We also have a limited number of CS Water bottles ($20), baseball caps ($25), and reusable bags ($5).  Email taylor.mcintire@me.com & jessiegrasshoff@gmail.com to order.

4. Upcoming Dates

  • Friday, January 14th; NO SCHOOL – Teacher In-Service Day

  • Monday, January 17th: NO SCHOOL – MLK Day

  • Wednesday, February 2nd: CS Early Dismissal at 11:30

5. Country School Council Meeting – POSTPONED

Our next Country School meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 10th at 2:45pm is postponed. More details about the next meeting TBA.
