Country School PTO Announcements for the week of March 21 to March 25, 2022

1. Survival Skills Event at Lands Sake Farm🔥

Looking for a fun and exciting activity on an April Sunday? The Weston Elementary PTO and Land’s Sake Farm are partnering to bring you Survival Skills! Join Land’s Sake Farm educators and learn skills for surviving (and enjoying) the great outdoors! We’ll practice building fires, reading the landscape, identifying plants and more!

Land’s Sake will run two separate programs on Sunday, April 10th. The first will be from 1-2pm and the second from 2:30-3:30pm. There is a limited number of spaces and all participants must sign up prior to April 10th and all groups will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

You will receive an email on Monday, March 21st at 10am with the sign up. Please sign up your student and Venmo Meghan Covington: @meghan-covington-1. The cost is $15 per student (student will not be considered registered until payment has been received).

Note: This program will run at the Crescent Street Farm location (27 Crescent Street, Weston). Parents should be in attendance during the program although they will not need to actively participate. PTO will provide coffee and beverages for the adults while they are waiting! This event is for grades K-5.

Don’t miss out on this exciting event! We look forward to seeing you there! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

2. Weston PTO Drive to Support Ukrainian Refugees 👕

The Weston PTO and Give Back Box have teamed up to support the over 2 million Ukrainian refugees who fled to Poland with nothing but the clothes on their backs!  It’s easy to help!  First, grab your kids and together pack a box weighing up to 40 lbs of clothes, shoes, and blankets ONLY (in new or very good condition).  Next, get a UPS shipping label.  We have 150 FREE labels available – EMAIL HERE to request one or CLICK HERE to purchase a label for $15.  Finally, drop your box(es) off at any UPS Store.  If you need a pick-up, call Theresa Nibi at (617) 519-5010.  Boxes will be shipped to Chicago and then loaded onto a container to Poland.  If you can’t ship a box or want to do more, DONATE HERE to help defray the $5,000 cost of shipping a container to Poland.  Questions?  Contact Theresa Nibi (617) 519-5010 or Stacy Simon Gilman (781) 789-5927 or go to

Join us for the Annual Spring Trash Clean-up, Wednesday, April 6th right after early release. Meet in front of Country School. Bring a picnic and join friends in front of Country School to celebrate the start of Spring. Helping pick up trash around our school and playgrounds is a great way to support the Annual Weston Town Clean-up taking place in April. BYO hand sanitizer and trash bags. Organized by the PTO Green Team.

SEPAC In-person Coffee Mornings are back! ☕️

After a 2 year Covid hiatus, in-person Weston SEPAC Coffees are back! Join the Weston SEPAC (Special Needs Parents Advisory Council) on Friday, April 1st at 9 am at Heirloom (the new restaurant next to Dumpling Daughter, 31 Center Street).
