Country School PTO Announcements for the week of May 2 – May 6, 2022

1. Wildcat CARES Scavenger Hunt! 🔎

Country, Woodland, and Field School PTO invite you to join us for the First Annual Wildcat C.A.R.E.S Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, May 14th from 3:30pm-5pm. This event is family-friendly and free! Come with your parents, caregivers, and siblings for an exciting afternoon of fun! Scavenger Hunt will begin at the Country School Playground at 3:30pm. Please arrive on time to hear instructions and receive your task lists!

So that we have an accurate count for handouts, please fill out the sign-up genius if you plan to join us!

This event does not have a rain date; if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will plan to cancel and message families via the Signup Genius and social media.

2. Spring CS Spirit Gear Pop-Up Shop – LAST CHANCE! 🔥 🆕

The CS Spring Spirit Gear Pop-up Shop closes TOMORROW! Check out our new items and past favorites. Order now before it’s too late! Shipping and Weston pickup options.

Note: For families who select the “pick up” option, PTO will pick up the completed orders at the Ink’d store and bring them back to Weston. We will reach out to families with more details about a Weston pickup location and/or send items home in backpacks when possible.

3. Country School Teacher Appreciation Week 💐

Country School Teacher Appreciation Week is underway! Thank you so much to the families who donated items, contributed funds, and fulfilled the wishlist! We will add photos to the CS Instagram account throughout the week and email highlights on Friday. More info and ways to contribute are HERE.

4. PTO Hope & Comfort Drive 🧼

Please join the Weston PTO in supporting its annual Hope & Comfort drive which will run from Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 13.  Hope & Comfort is a local non-profit started by a Weston family that requests new and unexpired personal hygiene products to support and improve the health, self-esteem, and hygiene education of youth in need across Greater Boston.  The most needed items are deodorant, toothpaste, sulfate-free shampoo, bars of soap, and menstrual products.  Collection bins will be located in the lobby of each school or items can be delivered directly to Hope & Comfort by CLICKING HERE to purchase through an Amazon Wishlist.  Contact Theresa Nibi (theresanibi@gmail.com) or Stacy Simon Gilman (Stacysimon21@gmail.com) with any questions.  Please generously support this worthy cause!

5. Country School Spring Concerts, Parking & Lost and Found 🎻

The CS Spring Concerts are back! Join us on Thursday, May 12th: grades 2 & 3 will be at 8:45 am, Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade will be at 10:15 am. The concerts will be held in the CS Gym. Reminder: 3rd-grade Orchestra and Chorus members are asked to wear black/navy pants or skirts, and white dress shirts or sweaters.

  • Available parking lots include the CS lot, Memorial Pool lot, and the spillover lot at Field.

  • There is no parking in the CS bus circle or along Alphabet lane (by the soccer field) while school is in session. This is a safety hazard; parking in these areas prevents emergency vehicles from accessing the schools. Handicap spaces are reserved for cars with a handicap placard.

The lost and found is overflowing again! Items will be on display outside after each concert by gym doors near the blacktop/CS playground. Families are encouraged to browse and retrieve lost items after the concerts. Unclaimed items will be donated.
