Please join us for the annual Country School Family Picnic on Wednesday, June 15th, from 4:30-7pm.

Bring your own picnic dinner and blanket, and join families for an evening of fun to celebrate the end of the year! PTO is sponsoring a visit from magician Abrakidabra and the Kona Ice truck for a frosty (allergy-friendly) treat. This event is free for all members of the CS community, and will take place on the CS playground and field.

**Please RSVP so we can anticipate attendance for the Magician and Kona Ice truck**

We look forward to seeing you there!

4. PTO Membership Drive

It’s time for the Weston PTO’s annual membership drive! If you have a child in the Weston Public Schools, please join or renew your Weston PTO membership for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year!  Don’t forget to update your contact information when you join so our directory is accurate (but please DO NOT update your children’s grades – that will take place automatically later this summer).  You can secure an annual PTO membership for your family here.

Please look for more information this week via Room Parents.

5. Weston Memorial Day Observance

Join friends and neighbors on Monday, May 30th at 10:00am for a Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade. The Ceremony will take place at Weston Town Hall at 10am. Masks are encouraged indoors.

The Parade will follow the ceremony at 11am, and begin outside Town Hall. Children are invited to march in the parade, or ride their bikes. Bike/stroller/wagon decorating is encouraged!  Plan ahead: the parade route round trip is 1.8 miles, and takes approx. 45 mins to 1 hour. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen and bring water!

Parade Order:

Police & Fire dept honor guards, Veterans in vehicles, 100+ Weston HS marching band, followed by Boy Scout and Girl Scouts troops in uniform.  Behind them, parents are welcome to bring children in strollers, wagons, carts, and bikes. Kids can ride their decorated bikes or ride-on toys like Big Wheels (wearing helmets), but *cannot* do skate boards, scooters or roller skates (unsafe to weave in and around folks marching).

Parade Route:

Parade Route starts at Town Hall, on Town House Road. It proceeds right, towards Church Street, to loop around Weston Town Green through the center of town to Concord Road where it wilk stop for a wreath laying. Then, continue beyond Linwood Ave to Old Farmer’s Cemetery for another stop/wreath laying. Cross Rte 20 (with police escort) into Linwood Cemetery for final ceremonial stop. Loops through cemetery and back the same route.
