Multilingual Family Outreach Liaisons

Dear Weston Community,

It is our pleasure to introduce to you Weston’s four liaisons for multilingual families. Our liaison’s main goal is to help families whose first language is Mandarin, Korean and Spanish, better connect with our schools. Our facilitators can help families with understanding district practices, learning about upcoming events, and finding the right people to communicate with should questions and concerns arise. Over the coming months we hope to establish regular communication and plan several events for our multilingual communities.

Ma Ya Tao taom@weston.org	Mandarin	I am the Mandarin teacher at Weston high school and my children graduated from this school system. As the Bilingual family liaison, I serve the middle and high school this year.
Te Lai (Light) lait@weston.org	Mandarin	I have been working with WPS for 5 years. I was the Mandarin teacher at MS and am the Mandarin bilingual family liaison for the elementary schools this year.
Jiyoung Park parkj@weston.org	Korean	I am the Preschool Speech-Language Pathologist at Woodland and Country schools. As the Bilingual Family Liaison, I serve the Korean-speaking families of Weston.
Enid De Castro Decastroe@weston.org	Spanish	I worked at Weston Public Schools in the Guidance Department at the High School. I serve the Spanish-speaking families of Weston.
Richard Warby warbyr@weston.org	Program Coordinator	I have been with WPS for 3 years and I teach Chemistry and Forensic Science at WHS. I am also the coordinator for this program.
Kimo Carter carterk@weston.org	Central Office Contact	I am the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. We hope your family liaison can support you when you need to connect with the Weston Public Schools.
