CS PTO Update

Dear Country School families,

We hope everyone had a great weekend. This is a short week with no school on Friday. There is also an early dismissal on Wednesday and we hope to see some of you at the CS clean-up day. We will meet at the top of the driveway leading to the playground at 11:30.

Please see below for this week’s updates.

Have a great week! Best regards, Jessie & Jess CS PTO Co-Chairs

WESTON SCHOOL CLEAN-UP DAY

Weston School Clean-Up Day (April 5): Please join the Weston PTO Green Team and help to take care of our school community! Meet in front of your school with your family to help pick up trash around the schools, grounds, and playgrounds on Wednesday, April 5 (early release day): 11:30 a.m. at Woodland, Country, and Field School

Please bring your own trash bag.  Please email Angela Rostami or Heather Borden with any questions. Hope to see you there!

Hope & Comfort Hygiene Product Drive (April 6)

Please join Hope & Comfort and the Weston PTO to improve the health and self-esteem of young people in your community by donating new, unexpired hygiene products. Collection bins will be located in the lobby of each school from March 27 through April 6. Donations can also be made via Hope & Comfort’s Amazon Wish List.

The most needed items are: Deodorant, toothpaste, sulfate-free shampoo, bars of soap, menstrual products

Basic hygiene items can make a huge impact on the health and well-being of children and adults in need. Items donated will be distributed to youth serving organizations, food pantries, and other human service agencies located in Greater Boston and beyond.

BUS BARN LOST AND FOUND

The lost and found room at the Bus Barn is bursting at the seams again! Please stop by the Bus Barn (456 Wellesley Street, Weston) between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday to look for any missing items. Please note that it is best to stop by in person as the transportation department staff is not able to look for items for phone or email requests. Any unclaimed items will be donated after Friday, April 14.

WEEFC’s 2023 Fall Fundraiser: Call for Auction Items & Sponsorships

Planning has begun for WEEFC’s Fall 2023 Fundraiser, scheduled for September 30. Tickets will go on sale in late summer, but we could use your help now to ensure the event is a success. We’re currently seeking businesses, artists, musicians, craftsmen, and local stores/sports teams/hotels/theaters that might be willing to provide or donate a service or item for the auction. Whether you’ve got a connection to spa services, lawn care, destination getaways or something in between, we want to hear from you! Interested in helping plan the event? Please contact Steph Corcornan with auction/event ideas and Katie Strohacker if your business might be interested in sponsoring the event.

CS LUNCH MONITOR SIGN-UP

Parent volunteers have been doing an incredible job as lunch monitors. Thank you! We have added more slots for April and May. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up. Monitors are needed daily from 11:15-1:00. Please take as many slots as possible. How fun to get to see your kids in action at school!
