CS PTO Update

Hello, Country School Families,

Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards Teacher Appreciation Week! Your generous donations will go a long way.

We kick the week off tomorrow with a breakfast feast in the staff lounge. Tuesday is “spa day” with some self-care gifts and an after-school yoga class taught by our amazing Country School mom and yogi extraordinaire, Lizzy Matteini.

On Wednesday, we’ll give the teachers Spring gardening bundles of veggie, flower, and herb seeds, along with compostable pots. Thursday is Room Parents’ choice and there are some great ideas floating around – thank you, Room Parents!

We’ll cap things off on Friday by treating teachers to a celebratory Cinco de Mayo lunch from Anna’s Taqueria. Check Instagram to follow the fun!

Also, we will put a banner outside the school so the students know it’s a special week – feel free to suggest that your kiddos give their teacher a high-five or fist bump as they enter the classroom tomorrow!

Please see below for this week’s updates.

For more school updates, please subscribe to the Country School calendar and check out our school website. And don’t forget to follow CS on Instagram for general updates and photos!

Have a great week!!

Best regards, Jessie & Jess CS PTO Co-Chairs

We need all t-shirt sizes by Monday May 8th to ensure they will be delivered in time

Did you know that the only way to vote on the school budget and other important town issues is by coming to vote in person at Town Meeting on Monday, May 8? Parent attendance and participation is essential.

Understanding that childcare is a concern for many, we are grateful to WHS Instructional Coach, Henry Moon, for planning a Kids Night Out so that Weston children (ages preK to grade 5) can play games, sports, make crafts, and more—all while parents attend the meeting! We call that a win/win. REGISTER HERE!

The town budget (which includes the school budget) is the second item on the agenda so a vote should take place earlier in the evening and conclude in time to pick the kids up!

Please register by Friday, May 5. Space is limited—so sign up today to secure your spot(s)! Please note the location change, all children will be dropped off at Weston Middle School. We look forward to seeing you at Town Meeting!

Book your babysitter and join other Country School parents for a night out at Heirloom. Thursday, May 25, 6:30-9:30. Tickets are $45 per person and cover heavy appetizers. BYOB. Please see the invitation for more information and to RSVP. Hope to see you there!

National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12) is the perfect time to acknowledge a special teacher, aide, or staff member who’s made a difference in your student’s life! Make a donation  of your choosing to WEEFC, fill out the Star Award Purchase Form to designate your recipients, and we will create and send a personalized e-certificate. Submissions made through April 26 will be delivered during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Parent volunteers have been doing an incredible job as lunch monitors. Thank you! We have added more slots for April and May. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up. Monitors are needed daily from 11:15-1. Please take as many slots as possible. How fun to get to see your kids in action at school!
