Boosters Lights on 1 Campaign Update
We are thrilled to share that the Lights On 1 campaign has met its goal! What started as a vision to give our K-12 athletes more time on the field past sundown is now within reach, thanks to our incredible community.
We’ve raised $150,000 to fund the design and permitting for lighting on Athletic Field 1, benefiting more than 1,250 student-athletes. These funds will allow the project to move forward under the Town’s direction and oversight. We are deeply grateful to ALL the families, alumni, and community organizations who have stepped up to support this effort – every contribution made a difference. We could not have reached this milestone without the leadership of our major contributors, including Weston Youth Soccer, Weston Youth Lacrosse, Weston PTO, Weston Youth Field Hockey, Weston Little League, and the Weston Class of 2025, along with our major donor families, all of whom will be permanently recognized on our donor wall at Athletic Field 1.
One step remains: approval at Town Meeting of the $400,000 in Community Preservation Act funding – already endorsed by the Community Preservation Committee – needed to bring this project fully to life.
