Message from the Field School PTO

Dear Field School families,

We hope you had a great summer and are looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year!  As the PTO Co-Chairs for Field School, we wanted to welcome you and update you on some helpful back-to-school information.

Health Form: Don’t forget to complete the student health form linked here and return it via email to Nurse Jamy Gaynor at or print and return it on the first day of school.

Help Wanted! If you would like to serve as a room parent for your child’s class this year, please let us know by completing this Google Form, and we will follow up with you.

  • Two room parents are needed per classroom. Duties and time commitment vary by classroom, but potential responsibilities include sending PTO and class-related emails to parents, requesting classroom volunteers and donations, coordinating teacher gifts, and creating a class contact list at the beginning of the year. All room parents must be current PTO members.

Class Assignments: You should have received your child’s classroom assignment via email yesterday, and it is also available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  Teachers will reach out with specific classroom information.

In the coming weeks, room parents will create and distribute class lists to each class. In an effort to assist this process, we are urging families to fill out the following form, and this information will be passed along to room parents:

Please fill out as much or as little information as you prefer; room parents will reach out for remaining information once school starts.

A little about us…

Laura Wilson

My family has lived in Weston for the past five years.  My husband, Dallin, and I have four children.  Harper is starting fifth grade here at Field School; Hunter will be in third grade at Country School;  Jack is entering first grade, also at Country; and Daisy (6 months) is a future Weston Wildcat.  This will be my second year as a PTO Co-Chair for Field, and I’m really looking forward to another fun year.

Taylor McIntire

My family has lived in Weston for the past seven years. My husband, Pete, and I have three boys, and each has attended Country since starting in preschool at Windows and this will be our first year at Field School. Will is going into 4th grade, Cutler is going into 3rd grade, and Witt is entering Kindergarten this fall. We also have a one-year-old daughter, Tilly, who can’t wait to accompany Daisy to Field School events! I was lucky enough to spend two years as a PTO Co-Chair at Country, and this will be my first year as a Co-Chair at Field. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead at FS!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, ideas for great PTO events, or anything else that may cross your mind.  We love hearing from you!  Our apologies if this email has not reached everyone; PTO is in the process of updating our distribution lists so please let us know of any issues, such as a spouse who didn’t receive our communication but wanted to. Thanks for your patience with us as we get up and running for this school year.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

The Weston PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the education of our children and fostering community within our schools. We keep parents connected and engaged by facilitating a closer relationship between the schools and home and by serving as a communication link between the two.

·       We support educational programs spanning all grades K-12 and coordinate visits by select authors, artists and performers, like the Tangelwood Marionettes and authors Kate Messner and Jennifer De Leon.

·       We sponsor parent education events with guest speakers representing various disciplines, like Dr. Jill Walsh on helping our children establish technology boundaries.

·       We coordinate back-to-school parent socials each fall helping to build important grade-level parent connections.

·       We organize community outreach drives supporting local charities, like Bristol Lodge and the Lincoln-Weston Food Pantry, while offering kids and families the opportunity to engage in social responsibility and philanthropy.

·       We host regularly scheduled parent/principal coffees to build and maintain important connections with school leadership.

·       We organize social events for parents and children like the Halloween trunk-or-treat, elementary schools drive-in movie night, Middle School art show, and High School graduation events.

·       We sponsor faculty/staff appreciation events throughout the year at each school.

·       Our parent volunteers who serve as school chairs, class parent advisors and room parents create a critical liaison between the PTO, parents, teachers and school leadership.

The annual membership fee is $75 per family. By purchasing it, you support the many ways the PTO engages with our community. Your membership also:

·       Helps you connect with other families by providing access to an online directory of all families with students in our schools.

·       Keeps you informed through a subscription to the PTO’s Westword weekly electronic newsletter listing consolidated school and community activities and events.

·       Enables you to purchase a printed version of the PTO school directory for $15 each.

You can secure an annual PTO membership for your family here.

Please let us know! There are many opportunities, and we welcome short and longer-term commitments. Whether it’s helping to organize a class event, bringing performers, artists and authors to our schools, volunteering at a STEM Fair, welcoming new families to the community, helping our Green Team’s sustainability programs, our website and communications team, or serving as a school chair, we have a place for you! When you sign up for PTO membership, for those who wish to volunteer (not a membership requirement), you will have the opportunity to express interest in helping out with events that happen throughout the school year.

If you have any questions, please contact Allison King and Natasha Douthitt, our 2022-2023 Membership Chairs, at

If you have any issues with Paypal, please reach out for information on how to pay by check.

We are so grateful for your support! We can’t do it without you!
