Superintendent’s Message about pending snow storm

Dear Weston Community,

Fortunately, it is the first day of spring, and unfortunately, I am once again writing to you about snow and the possibility of cancellations, early release and/or delayed openings due to the pending snow storm.  The timing of this storm makes it a particular challenge and, as always, I will make the call for school as early as I am able.

As with every snow storm, I have been in contact with the Fire and Police Departments, DPW, Transportation, and the personnel at the schools who make sure that the correct decision is made about whether or not to have school, keeping students’ safety paramount.  Given the variation in start time of this most current storm, I will not be able to make a decision until morning.  If we are going to have a full day of school tomorrow, that will be posted on the website and you will receive an email through our Infinite Campus system.  If there is a cancellation or an early dismissal, you will be informed through a text, phone call and an email.

All evening activities (after 6:00pm) are canceled Wednesday, March 21st, 2018

Thank you for your patience, and did I mention that it is the first day of spring?

Best,

Dr. Midge Connolly
