Suggested Summer Reading 2018
While WHS doesn’t require all students to read over the summer, we strongly recommend it. Reading develops vocabulary, knowledge, empathy, relaxation, and intellectual independence.
This year WHS students have a menu of summer reading options which support all kinds of learners and readers. A highlight is the custom book bag option, where students provide information on what interests them and Mrs. Hanson fills a book bag with custom choices.
Encourage your student to visit the Suggested Summer Reading guide to decide what works best for them.
Remind your students that they can borrow library books over the summer, and that we provide bags to carry their treasures home and store them safely in one place so nothing gets lost.
