Annual Health Screenings for Sophomores
Dear Weston High School Parents,
Annual Screenings are scheduled to start for 10th graders In October, focusing on vision and hearing screenings. Postural screenings are typically done after the December break.
All screenings are performed in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regulations. Students may also be screened at any time during the year at a teacher or parent’s request. If screening results indicate the need for follow-up care by a physician, parents/guardian will be notified in writing.
If you would like to opt your child out of height, weight, or postural screenings, please notify the school nurse Michelle Rizza, in writing before November 1, 2018. If you have any questions you may call the nurse at 781-786-5830. The nurse’s email is rizzam@weston.org.

Hearing – Preschool, K-3, grade 7 & 10 Vision – Preschool, K-5, grade 7 & 10
Height, Weight, BMI – Grades 1, 4, 7, 10 Postural (scoliosis) – Grades 5-9
