Parents Please Support Special Olympics
Dear Parents,
The Class of 2020 has committed to supporting the The Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA). This year our event will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019. In conjunction with the Massachusetts Special Olympics, we will be hosting the Special Olympics Regional Junior Basketball Qualifying Tournament. Over 350 athletes will be participating in the day-long event at the Weston High School and Middle School.
How you can help:
1. Please encourage your student to sign up to volunteer on the day of the event. Sign-ups are happening now. The link is available on the class Facebook page and on Google classroom. Sign-ups will also be happening during lunch outside the cafeteria.
2. Please come out and support our event by cheering on the teams on Sunday Jan 27.
3. Doctors, nurses, PAs and NPs, consider being a first aid volunteer for part of the day. Please email Elizabeth Binney at binneyfamily@gmail.com if you are available.
4. Support the event financially by making a donation to SOMA at: https://specialolympicsma.donordrive.com/event/WestonHS (ignore the REGISTER NOW button) or mail a check made out to SOMA to Elizabeth Binney, 55 Hallett Hill Rd, Weston 02493.
Families who donate $250 or more by next Tues 1/15/19 will be recognized on the back of the volunteer t shirts. Please include with your check if and how you would like to be recognized.
