Revised Student Election Dates

Student Elections Update (Revised June 25, 2020)

 Hello Students,

We would like to post the key dates for next year’s Student Council and Student Government elections. Although we do not know exactly what school will look like next year at this time, we hope to follow the schedule below.

At this moment, we will plan with the idea that everything will be done online. We will have our election meeting, share speeches and vote, all online. If the situation changes so that it makes more sense to do some of these parts face to face, then we will make changes, but voting will remain online.

Because we missed the spring elections, the fall elections will encompass all the elected offices.

Following are your opportunities:

STUDENT GOVERNMENT supports Class-Specific activities including service projects, fundraising, and class-specific social events. The following positions are elected for each class (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) and meet Wednesday mornings before school.

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • SAC Rep (attends both Student Government and Student Council meetings to serve as a bridge between the two organizations)

STUDENT COUNCIL (STUCO) Officers and Representatives create and execute School-Wide events and activities such as assemblies, fund-raising and Spring Fling. Student Council meets during the Activity Block.

As in the past, students who run for a Class Student Government of STUCO Officer position, but do not win, will have the opportunity to run again as a Student Council Representative for their grade.

Student Council Officers

  • Co-Presidents (2 students that generally run together as a ticket)
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Master of Ceremonies for Assemblies (2 students that run together as a ticket)

Student Council Representatives

  • Five representatives from each Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes are elected.

More information about the requirements and what each position involves will be given at the Mandatory General Information Meeting on Thursday September 3rd. If you don’t attend the meeting, you cannot run for office. As soon as we know the format, we will let you all know.

Many thanks,

Ms. Brisky, Director of Student Activities

Chef Feller, STUCO Faculty Advisor
