Fall Sports

August 20, 2020

Hello Weston Fall Athletic Families,

I hope you are well and enjoying the summer. I wanted to send out a brief email regarding fall sports.

As I am sure you are aware by now, DESE & the MIAA communicated guidelines for fall sports. There is a lot of speculation out there, but I wanted to let you know personally that we are still a ways away from confirming what sports will/will not play, what schedules will look like and what sports will move to the newly formed “Fall 2/Floating Season” which will begin the end of February and run through most of April.

I plan on communicating with the hope of having exactly what our upcoming fall sports season will look like by Friday 8/28.  Our league will meet twice next week – once with just the athletic directors to develop a league plan (utilizing the guidelines/safety protocols received from DESE & MIAA) as well as with both DCL Superintendents and Principals in a collaborative effort to ensure logistics and most importantly the safe execution of fall sports by member schools.

We are all very excited about getting back to playing again! Thank you for your patience and continued support of Weston Athletics. I look forward to reaching back out to you next week with specific information on all fall sports.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.  I will do my very best to answer any questions you may have concerning high school athletics with the information available.
