Memo From Principal Peri

Dear Wildcat Families-

Happy Halloween Week!

We are excited to highlight that WHS is ‘keeping with traditions’ and will be showcasing the annual Halloween Assembly this Friday.  While the event will be virtual, it will be so wonderful to reconnect and smile a little!

To enter the costume contest, students should email a photo or a short video of themselves in costume to by Thursday, Oct 29th, 8pm. (please include your full name and year). Voting will take place during the assembly and the ‘Best Costumes’ will be announced live, just like the Oscars, but better!

The assembly will take place at 2:30 on Friday.  The morning classes will meet as usual and the remote afternoon has shifted to provide for quick teacher check-ins.  The afternoon schedule is listed below:

1:40-1:50   B2-Remote

1:53-2:03   E2-Remote

2:06-2:16   G2-Remote

2:19-2:29   H2-Remote

2:30 Halloween Assembly

AND, we are inviting all staff, students, parents/guardians and pets in the drop-off loop to dress in costume for school on Thursday and Friday.  RLA students, please join us and dress up as well!

A reminder that Back to School Night is this Wednesday, October 28th.  The event will be virtual/remote, and will look very different than any other WHS Back to School Night any of us have ever experienced before.  We look forward to connecting with you as our educators will introduce themselves, discuss classroom expectations and curriculum, will answer questions, and will share how to best get in touch with them moving forward.  Our staff has been hard at work creating pre-recorded sessions capturing all that is listed above.  Mr. Michael Sanford and Ms. Karina Soto in our tech department have been instrumental in bringing it all together.

Wednesday afternoon, Ms. Flynn and I will share the link so that you are able to ‘check-in’ with each of your child’s teachers.

Truly and sincerely,

Paul Peri and Kelly Flynn
