Message from WHS Librarian

Hello WHS students,

Vacation is almost here, a great time to peel your eyes from the screen and read a book (or three). Your school library has so many fantastic new books. Browse and reserve them from the library’s New Books guide, or come to the library and do that in person.

 New Books

The New Books guide has our amazing new books including LGBTQIA+ fiction and nonfiction Black history, fantasy, fiction, nonfiction and graphic novels. Borrow a bunch of books—it’s always a good idea to have back up. That’s the great thing about libraries—they are free and you have choices!

You also have choices about how to get your books. Browse and borrow in person, or reserve and pick up in the library or main office.

If you prefer e and audiobooks, you have a huge free audio and ebook library on SORA, which works in your browser or mobile device app. It’s easy to use—it’s run by Overdrive. First time user pro tip: if you can’t find “Weston High,” look for the “Commonwealth eBook Collection” first, and then search for Weston High in that group. Sign in with your Weston username and password and you will be good to go.

Reading is relaxing and expands your mind. I encourage you to pick up a book this vacation. Please contact me with any questions or problems.
