WHS Athletic Tournament Schedule
Hello Everyone,
As the school year winds down, many of our athletic teams are ramping up for the MIAA State Tournament. Below is what our schedule looks like for this week. Fortunately, due to the successes of our 4 teams involved in the tournament, most of our games/matches will be here in Weston. Lastly, some additional amazing accomplishments by our track athletes the last few days at the Meet of Champions that was held at Westfield State – 4 x 400 relay of Tally Zeller, Julie Hohenberg, Kaitlyn Ewald and Sloan Hinton broke the 4 minute mark and are your 2022 State Champions in this event (please note: this is for the entire state – all divisions). The time of 3:56.89 also broke a school record. Also breaking a school record was Morgan Rome in the Javelin at 117’2” and a 6th place finish. Finally, freshman Alessandra Gavris placed 6th in the mile. Her time of 5:06.45 was a Weston record and the fastest freshman time in Massachusetts. Very impressive!
Note: Sunday afternoon Girls Tennis defeated Norton High School 5-0 in the 1st round of the MIAA State Tournament.
