PSAT Offered to Juniors on Saturday, October 15th

Attention Juniors:

On Saturday, October 15th, the PSAT (Preliminary SAT / National Merit Qualifying Test ) will be administered at WHS at 7:30am. Registrations will be accepted from September 19th through October 7th. The fee for these tests is $30.00.

Registrations received after October 7th will incur a $5.00 late fee.

The following is information you will need to register for/take the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test).

  • The PSAT will be given to juniors at Weston High School on Saturday, October 15th.*
  • The cost is $30.00 and is due by Friday, October 7th.  Any student who registers after October 7th will be assessed a $5 late fee ($35 total).The preferred method of registration and payment is through My School Bucks.* Students who may qualify for fee waivers should see their counselors.
  • Students will be notified when they can pick up a PSAT Student Guide (with a practice test) in the Guidance Office in order to prepare for the test.
  • The test begins promptly at 7:45 AM. Students should check in at the WHS main entrance at 7:30, where they will be given their room assignments.
  • Students will need to bring #2 pencils and an approved calculator (see PSAT Student Guide for details on approved models).

We WILL NOT provide calculators or batteries

  • Most students will be done around 11:15. Those with approved College Board accommodations generally are done around 1:00.

* The PSAT is a test designed for juniors, but we may have a limited number of spots for sophomores interested in taking the PSAT. Sophomores interested in taking the test should see Ms. DeCastro in the Guidance Office to sign up for a waitlist. Spots will not be able to be confirmed until Wednesday, October 12th.

* Checks made payable to “Town of Weston” will also be accepted in the Guidance Office.
