WHS Athletic Winter Player/Parent Meeting 11/14th at 6pm

Hello Weston Families,

The Winter Sports Season is upon us! We will be conducting our Pre-Season Player/Parent Meetings on Tuesday, November 14that 6:00pm at Weston High School. I strongly encourage all families and student-athletes to attend this meeting and learn about the upcoming season. Within each of these meetings our coaches will inform you of team expectations, the tryout process, practice and game/meet schedules and much more which will be helpful when the season begins on Monday, November 27th.

Important:

  • Winter Season Start Date: Monday, November 27th. Please Note: We understand there is no school on 11/27, but teams will be conducting tryouts/practices. If your student-athlete will not be present for the 27th please be sure to inform the coach. Coaches are aware that this is a scheduled no-school day. Regardless of attendance all student-athletes will be evaluated fairly.
  • All student-athletes should have an up to date physical on file with the school nurse.
  • All student-athletes must register on FamilyID students.arbitersports.com/weston-athletics
  • Please be sure to follow us on Twitter: @WestonAthletic. Twitter is used to communicate all varsity scores, highlights, etc., as well as any schedule changes or important athletic department information. Additionally, “ArbiterLive” (School Details (arbiterlive.com)) will have all schedules (all levels) for the winter season.

  • ARX ED – STUDENT-ATHLETE ONLINE TRAINING FEATURING SHORT MODULES ON THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS: Sportsmanship, Building respectful and inclusive teams, Rules related to Chemical Health, Bullying, Hazing and Sexual Harassment Prevention, Student Wellness, and Spectator Expectations. PLEASE NOTE: ALL DUAL COUNTY LEAGUE SCHOOLS WILL BE REQUIRING THIS OF THEIR STUDENT-ATHLETES.

Winter Season Bus Information: Pick-up at High School

  • 4:30pm – In-town (Weston)
  • 5:30pm – In-town (Weston) & Boston
  • 7:10pm – Boston (Mon.-Fri. – first two weeks of practices/ Mon.-Thur. – remainder of season)

*On Game/Meet days please be sure to make alternate pick-up arrangements
