Photos From Kindergarten/Senior Class Reading Day

Below are some photos from the most recent Kindergarten/Senior class Reading Day.

This event happens twice a year, once each for Country and Woodland, in December and April right before vacation breaks. It allows Seniors to be positive role models for the younger students. The event also endorses and supports the importance of reading and literacy (especially in April, Literacy Awareness month). Kids read and do crafts, allowing older students to make connections with their younger counterparts and come full circle as their educational experiences here in Weston come to a close. This is the first year fully funded by the PTO who have committed to funding it for the next couple of years.

This event has been a tradition for many years and this years Freshmen class is the first class that was read to when they were in Kindergarten!
