WHS Robotics Team Advances to World Championship

WHS GNCE Diamond is the State Champion Winning Alliance Captain and advances to the FIRST World Championship in Houston.

WMS finished as the Finalist (2nd place) Winning Alliance Captain and advances to one of the international FIRST Premier Events (tbd which one they will attend).

This is the first time in Weston history to have 2 FTC teams advance beyond the State Championships in the same year. A huge accomplishment lead by Coach Ken and the 60 volunteer parent mentors who supported the 23 teams and 180 students this year.

Diamond is a 3rd year FTC team. They selected our good friends Tech Tigers from Sharon as their alliance partner for the double elimination finals rounds. Diamond also won the Motivate judged award for their efforts to expand the Weston robotics program to 180 students with support from the administration and town.

Organized Anarchy is a rookie FTC 8th grade team which started in the program as a 7th grade FLL team. They selected our good friends Wolfpack Machina from Beverly Waring School as their alliance partner.

There were 36 teams in the state who qualified for the state championship. Both Weston teams went undefeated after 5 rounds of preliminary matches.
