Administrative Changes

Three administrators will leave the Weston Public Schools at the end of this school year. All three will be greatly missed.

Dr. Cindy Crimmin, Principal of Woodland School, has decided to retire. As some of you may know, she is a very talented artist and she wishes to devote more time to that endeavor. She also hopes to work as a mentor to new administrators.

Susan Strong, Director of Student Services, is leaving to become the principal of a new alternative high school in Worcester. She is looking forward to the challenge of creating a new school, working closely with students and being a part of an urban school community.

Sue Fisichella, Assistant Director of Student Services, has accepted the position of Director of Student Services for the Sharon Public Schools. She is excited about assuming a department leadership position.

All three have made significant contributions to our district by advocating for their visions of educational excellence, supporting the needs of our students, and collaborating with faculty members and administrators. I appreciate all of their hard work and wish them much success in the next chapters of their lives.  We will begin the searches for their replacements immediately and will be seeking volunteers to serve on the search committees. Watch for the announcements in Grapevine.

“…[I]ncorporating…innovative technology may not change the way classes are taught this year, but it has started a revolution in how learning and teaching are being conceptualized. I’m excited to see what is to come from both students and teachers.” — Mary Liu, WHS science teacher and creator of edX’s “Ramp Up for AP Biology”

Weston Citizens' Academy Survey
Help the Town of Weston and Weston Public Schools gauge the interest in a Citizens' Academy that would provide community members an opportunity to learn more about the Town Government and the Weston Public Schools. Residents would tour Town and School facilities, meet with Department Managers and School Administrators, and engage in hands-on activities.
