Welcome to 2014-2015

**Tuesday, September 2nd:  The transportation (Bus Barn) phone and computer systems are temporarily out of service.  If you have a bus emergency, please contact Bob Wells at 339-222-9632.

With great excitement and enthusiasm, we welcome new and returning students into our classrooms for the 2014-2015 school year.  Our teachers & administrators have been preparing for their arrival for weeks, crafting welcoming greetings and finalizing schedules.

In my Opening Day speech to faculty, I underscored four action goals that will frame our work each and every day:

  1. Know and value our students as individuals, learners and achievers
  2. Reflect on our own strengths and weaknesses and seek opportunities through collaboration, workshops, or other professional development to grow
  3. Focus on student growth and achievement - but be willing to take risks, be innovative and creative in order to connect with each learner
  4. Take pride, not hubris, in our work, but always strive to be better

We hope when you visit our schools, you will see evidence of our commitment to meeting these goals.

Welcome back!

Cheryl Maloney, Ph.D.

“…[I]ncorporating…innovative technology may not change the way classes are taught this year, but it has started a revolution in how learning and teaching are being conceptualized. I’m excited to see what is to come from both students and teachers.” — Mary Liu, WHS science teacher and creator of edX’s “Ramp Up for AP Biology”

Weston Citizens' Academy Survey
Help the Town of Weston and Weston Public Schools gauge the interest in a Citizens' Academy that would provide community members an opportunity to learn more about the Town Government and the Weston Public Schools. Residents would tour Town and School facilities, meet with Department Managers and School Administrators, and engage in hands-on activities.
