Thanksgiving

Walking back to Case House from Woodland and Country recently, I paused to admire the beauty of the new Field School, Case Campus and even the threadbare version of the old Field School ( to be demolished in early 2015). As I did, I thought about what makes Weston Public Schools special: the energetic, enthusiastic, creative children who come to us each day; the talented, caring, dedicated faculty and staff; the collaborative, productive partnership with parents; the ongoing support of the community; and a long rich history of teaming for continuous reflection and renewal.

According to the Ancient Roman Politician Cicero, ”A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues.”

May we all have a thankful heart this holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

“…[I]ncorporating…innovative technology may not change the way classes are taught this year, but it has started a revolution in how learning and teaching are being conceptualized. I’m excited to see what is to come from both students and teachers.” — Mary Liu, WHS science teacher and creator of edX’s “Ramp Up for AP Biology”

Weston Citizens' Academy Survey
Help the Town of Weston and Weston Public Schools gauge the interest in a Citizens' Academy that would provide community members an opportunity to learn more about the Town Government and the Weston Public Schools. Residents would tour Town and School facilities, meet with Department Managers and School Administrators, and engage in hands-on activities.
