Class of 2025 Parents/Caregivers — Learn About Volunteer Opportunities at Weston High School!

We cordially invite parents and caregivers of members of the Class of 2025 to an information session on Wednesday, April 28 at 7PM to learn about volunteer opportunities available to you at Weston High School. A Zoom link will be shared before the meeting. A ZOOM LINK WILL BE SHARED ON WEDNESDAY MORNING!

As you may or may not know, at the High School, each grade is supported by a Parent Advisor (PA) team. Traditionally two or three PAs assume this role before the start of freshman year with a third joining at the end of sophomore year. Historically and ideally, these positions are held through graduation senior year. In addition to the PAs, there are many traditional events which happen throughout the high school years, and those events present many opportunities for parents and caregivers to get involved.

In speaking with some parents/caregivers, there is a common refrain that the PA role seems to be overwhelming/too big of a job, which is preventing people from volunteering. While It is true that the PA role is a big one, the PA teams across all the grades meet regularly and provide support for one another. The PAs are also supported by Faculty Advisors and the PTO ChairsThe goal of the webinar is to help clarify and demystify the role of the PAs as well as highlight the many other opportunities there are for volunteering at the high school.
