Fall Sports begin tomorrow, 9/13!
Hello Everyone,
A quick email to talk a little about the start of the Fall Middle School Sports Season. Fall Sports will begin tomorrow (weather permitting – please check daily announcements) after school. All student-athletes must be registered on FamilyID (www.familyid.com) and have an up to date physical on file with the school nurse (Denise Schwerzler – schwerzlerd@weston.org). Physicals can be delivered directly to Ms. Schwerzler, uploaded on FamilyID or emailed directly to Ms. Schwerzler. Student-athletes should report to the following locations:
.
Cross Country – Annie Mazer – mazera@weston.org – Report to the track are by the rock outside the MS gym doors at 3:45pm. Starts on Monday, September 13th.
Football – Chris Brown – brownc@weston.org – Report to the boys locker room in the middle school at 3:45pm
Girls Soccer – Attia Linnard – linnarda@weston.org – Report to the Bus Barn Field at 3:45pm
Boys Soccer – Matt Cedrone – cedronem@weston.org – Report to Wildcat Field at 3:45pm
Girls Volleyball – Chris Fraser – coachfraser16@gmail.com – Report to MS Gym at 3:45pm
Field Hockey – Gianna Kaski (Varsity Coach) – giannakaski@gmail.com – Report to Field 1 at the High School at 3:45pm
.
As we move through the season these will be the practice & game/meet locations. Middle School Sports run 4 days a week (combined practices/games/meets) with one day off (varies by team). Our season is scheduled to run from Thursday, Sept. 9 through the last week in October. Typically, practices are completed by 5/5:15pm to allow for student-athletes to catch their 5:30 (Weston/Boston) bus home. For away contests the likelihood of catching the 5:30pm bus home is slim. Therefore, please make pick-up arrangements on days where your son/daughter’s team plays away. Note: there is a 6:20pm Boston bus that leaves from the high school that our Boston student-athletes can utilize on these days. Please check daily announcements as should we encounter poor weather during the week I will make game/meet decisions (along with our opposing school) by noon/1pm. Practice cancellations will also be communicated, but could be a little later in the day. Game/Meet Schedules will be distributed by coaches.
.
Lastly, should you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. Our goal is to ensure our student-athletes have a positive experience playing for and representing the Weston Middle School.
Thank you,
Mike
