World Language Week is Coming!
World Language Week is the week of March 2-March 6, 2020. As part of the celebration, the World Language Department would like to invite parents/guardians to come into Spanish classes to share their cultures with students. Your visit does not need to be related to the culture of a Spanish-speaking country- the more variety, the better! Some ideas for sharing are: demonstrations (salsa or merengue, for example), cultural projects (papel picado, origami, etc.) and slideshows and/or artifacts from other countries. There are many other possibilities, as well, such as reading a picture book or singing songs.
Please contact the Spanish teacher at your child’s school if you would like to sign up (Kimberlee Kasanov at kasanovk@weston.org– Country and Field, Kristen Sheridan at sheridank@weston.org– Woodland and Field, or the Director of World Languages (Kathy Baker at bakerk@weston.org).
