WOODLAND FAMILY EVENT!! Woodland Virtual Family Trivia (November 20, 5 pm – 6:15 pm)
Join us for Woodland’s first-ever Virtual Family Trivia! Get the whole family together, come up with your best team name, and get ready for an evening of fun hosted by “The Quiz Master” Michael Lourie. PTO Thanksgiving Food Drive For Bristol Lodge & Homeless Shelter (Now thru Nov. 25)
Don’t forget to donate non-perishable goods for this year’s Food Drive! All donations can be placed in plastic bins located outside of each grade entrance. RLA students can drop off there too! More details in the attached flyer. Please involve your students and give generously! Volunteer opportunities available-see below under “Volunteer Opportunities”.
School Pictures Update
Three updates:
- We will have Class Composites this year! While it will look a bit different than a traditional class photo, we have been able to work with CoffeePond to secure class composite photos for all classes at Woodland! These class composites will be delivered separately from indiv. pictures, likely in January.
- Picture Retake Day will be on Thursday, December 3rd. For in-person students, photos will start at 10:30 am and for RLA students photos will be from 12-12:30 pm. Retakes will be taken inside the school due to the cold weather.
- For any RLA families that want their student photos sent to their homes (vs sent to school for pickup), please contact CoffeePond at (508) 907-6633 (ext 0) and change the shipping location to your home address.
Request for Laundry Bags
Don’t forget to have your student bring in a drawstring laundry bag by December 1st. Please make sure that it is easy to close, washable, an appropriate size for your child to carry, and NOT mesh. Please label with child’s name. Laundry bags will be sent home with your child weekly for laundering. Please contact Midge Connolly connollym@weston.org for help with this purchase (remains anonymous). We are also accepting donations of laundry bags for those willing to donate. Please contact Lauren Burns or Courtney Farkas for donations.

Boston Weston METCO Parent Organization (BWMPO) Fundraising Launch (Now thru Nov. 19)
BWMPO has launched its fundraising efforts for the John Hudson Memorial Scholarship Fund.. Order desserts just in time for the holiday. Orders must be submitted and purchased by 12pm on Thursday for pick-up on Saturday. We offer a Boston and Weston pick-up location each week. For questions, please email the BWMPO.
