Please see below for updates and important dates.

Important Dates:

  • Tuesday, May 30: Grade 3 Transition Principal’s Coffee | 9:00am | Field School Cafeteria
  • Thursday, June 1: WS End of Year Picnic | 4:30-6:30 pm | Woodland School Field
  • Friday, June 2: Incoming (Grade 3) Informational Session on Field Student Services (Including ELL, IEP, and 504 Plans) | 9:00 a.m. | Field School Cafeteria – Note new date!
  • Wednesday, June 7: Pre-K through 2nd Fun Day
  • Wednesday, June 7: Early Dismissal
  • Thursday, June 8: CS/WS 3rd Grade Only Picnic | 5-7pm | Field School (Rain Date – June 12)*
  • Wednesday, June 14: 3rd Grade Fun Day
  • Friday, June 16: Grade 3 Clap Out | 10:30-10:50am | Woodland Field
  • Friday, June 16: Last Day of School | Early Dismissal 11am
  • * Adults should plan to attend picnics and after school events with their students – if these are outside of school hours, these are not drop off events.

Woodland School Picnic:

We hope that you can join us on Thursday for a good old fashioned picnic with your Woodland friends and families. Grab a picnic blanket, pack a picnic and meet us on the Woodland School field. This will be a time for students to play outside of school and families to socialize with one another as we celebrate the end of the school year together. Don’t forget any balls or outdoor activities your students may want to play. VeeBop Ice Cream will be available for purchase.

3rd Grade Clap Out:

A reminder for 3rd grade families: At 10:30am on Friday, June 16th, 3rd grade parents are invited to participate in the 3rd grade clap out.  Parents will form a viewing and applause line under the awning in front of the school along the rockwall (facing the school), and down the ramp if needed.

At 10:35am, Grade 3 students will make their way through the K wing and exit out the K wing doors. Each Grade 3 student will then proceed to walk through the courtyard pathway with applause from the crowd. They will continue on to the G1/G3 entrance pathway and enter through the CCW/G3 entrance and back to their classroom for dismissal.

All lines will need to disperse by 10:50am for dismissal. Please park in the lot, the pool lot, or overflow parking at Country School. Please do not park in the traffic circle so dismissal can begin promptly at 11:00am that day. Please bring yourselves and your smiles, and perhaps a bubble wand for a festive send off. However, please do not bring noise makers or signs. Younger siblings must stay with their classrooms until dismissal. If rain is in the forecast that day, there will be alternate plans.

Weston Council on Aging (COA) Pantry Drive: 

The Weston PTO’s final Community Outreach event for the year will benefit the Weston Council on Aging’s Pantry. The drive will begin tomorrow (Tuesday, May 30th) and run through Friday, June 9th.  Donations can be made by clicking on the Council on Aging’s amazon wish list here.  Items will be sent directly to the Council on Aging.  Please help support the senior members in our community who rely on the pantry. Weston PTO: Join or Renew Your Membership! 

If you have a child in the Weston Public Schools, please join or renew your Weston PTO membership for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The Weston PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the education of our children and fostering community within our schools. We keep parents connected and engaged by facilitating a closer relationship between the schools and home and by serving as a communication link between the two. The annual membership fee is $75 per family. By purchasing it, you support the many ways the PTO engages with our community. Our annual budget is raised solely through membership dues and goes directly towards supporting the many wonderful events and activities our volunteers organize for all five district schools. Save the Date for the WEEFC Fall Fundraiser – September 30! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30! The WEEFC Fall Fundraiser will be returning to the Field School field. There will be food trucks, great company, music, and an auction–all to benefit the Weston Public Schools. A ticket presale with early bird pricing will be coming in mid-August. Keep an eye on the WEEFC Instagram page for more information!
