WS PTO Update

Dear Woodland Families,

We had such a wonderful time last week at our Woodland School Picnic, thank you to the many of you that attended.

We have two weeks left of school and we would love to take this time to thank you all for the support you have shown the PTO and our teachers and staff. Your generosity has allowed us to show our appreciation in countless ways throughout the year. And while we are almost through our 2022-23 school year, we have one final ask. If you haven’t already, you will receive communications from your room parents for end of year gifts for your teachers. While they are the ones your students see the most, there are many others at Woodland School that make it possible for all of the good work to happen. From the office staff to the facilities team to the specialists, we have an incredible group of people at Woodland School. We would love to send them off with a thank you from our Woodland Community. If you would like to contribute to a small gift on behalf of the parents and families for all those faculty and staff outside of your direct classroom teachers, please venmo Meghan- Covington-1 whatever amount you are comfortable contributing. Thank you in advance for helping to show our gratitude and thanks!

If you are a parent/caregiver of a preK – second grade student and have volunteered to help with Field Day this week, please be on the lookout for a separate email from us tomorrow (monday) with instructions for the day.

If you are a parent/caregiver of a third grade student and have volunteered to help with Field Day next week, you should have received email correspondence with instructions for the day.

Weston Council on Aging (COA) Pantry Drive:

The Weston PTO’s final Community Outreach event for the year will benefit the Weston Council on Aging’s Pantry. The drive will begin tomorrow (Tuesday, May 30th) and run through Friday, June 9th.  Donations can be made by clicking on the Council on Aging’s amazon wish list here.  Items will be sent directly to the Council on Aging.  Please help support the senior members in our community who rely on the pantry. Weston PTO: Join or Renew Your Membership!

If you have a child in the Weston Public Schools, please join or renew your Weston PTO membership for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The Weston PTO is an all-volunteer, parent-run, non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the education of our children and fostering community within our schools. We keep parents connected and engaged by facilitating a closer relationship between the schools and home and by serving as a communication link between the two. The annual membership fee is $75 per family. By purchasing it, you support the many ways the PTO engages with our community. Our annual budget is raised solely through membership dues and goes directly towards supporting the many wonderful events and activities our volunteers organize for all five district schools. Save the Date for the WEEFC Fall Fundraiser – September 30! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30! The WEEFC Fall Fundraiser will be returning to the Field School field. There will be food trucks, great company, music, and an auction–all to benefit the Weston Public Schools. A ticket presale with early bird pricing will be coming in mid-August. Keep an eye on the WEEFC Instagram page for more information!
