Hello, Woodland Wolves!

Hope everyone has been enjoying a nice fall long weekend. A few highlights:

THIS Friday, October 13th is Picture Day! Thank you in advance to the volunteers who have signed up to help make this day run smoothly.

Parent’s Night Out is coming up next Thursday, October 18th. This year’s event will be indoors in the Taproom at Lookout Farm, and will be a great chance to get to talk with friends old and new! RSVP here.

Finally, Trunk or Treat is coming up on Friday, October 27! More info is below.

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT

Please join us to gather with fellow Woodland parents at our upcoming adult-only Parents’ Night Out – Wednesday, October 18th from 6-9pm at Lookout Farm in Natick, in the Taproom. Please RSVP here by Friday, October 13th. Ticket price is $30 per person and will go towards drinks and heavy appetizers. Limited space available. Your spot will be reserved once payment is received.  Payment options:

TRUNK OR TREAT

This year’s Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Friday, October 27th from 4:30-6pm in the Field School Parking Lot. Pizza will be provided by the PTO, so come find our table. This event relies on the help of volunteers so we encourage you to sign-up! We are in need of NUT-FREE candy donations, safe NON-FOOD items for teal pumpkins and trunk decorators. You can access these volunteer opportunities here.

For those who want to decorate a trunk, THANK YOU! This is a really fun way to get your whole family involved in the event, or you might even consider partnering with a friend! Whatever makes the experience the most fun and doable for you. The event flyer and trunk examples can be found at the bottom of this email. This event is open to PK-5 students from all three elementary schools and their families. Parents, please note that this is not a drop-off event and that all children need to be accompanied by an adult. It is our goal to make this event safe, inclusive, and fun for all of our families. Only NUT-FREE food items will be allowed at this event. Thank you in advance for your willingness to volunteer for what is sure to be a SPOOKtacular Trunk-or-Treat event.

PTO Welcome Breakfast for New Families from 1st-12th Grade (October 20)

Please join the PTO President, the Family Engagement team, other new-to-WPS families, and current parents for breakfast in the Field School Cafeteria on Friday, October 20, from 9-10am. After a brief welcome from Stephanie, the PTO President, we will break into school groups (HS, MS, Field, Woodland, Country) so we can answer any questions you might have about the schools, community, local activities, or anything else! Please RSVP. Upon arrival, enter through the main door at Field and check-in at the front desk. We hope you can join us!

DISMISSAL NOTEPADS

The Dismissal Notepad Fundraiser is back!  Please click the link to order METCO Dismissal notepads.  Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit Weston METCO Family Friends. The deadline for ordering is October 20, 2023.  One order includes 4 (50 sheets per pad) notepads. For questions, please contact Nancy Fournier, fourniern@weston.org

WHS PUMPKIN FEST

Join us for the annual Pumpkin Fest from 11am-2pm October 14, 2023, on Weston’s Town Green. All proceeds benefit Camp Sunshine, a camp for kids with life-threatening illnesses. Bring your families and join the fun! There will be Halloween and fall-themed activities, pumpkin carving, cookie decorating, a petting zoo, and many more fun activities. Children can participate in various activities, including arts and crafts, games, and face painting. Click here for more information.
