School Councils’ Presentations of School Improvement Plans

During the month of May, each School Council will present its proposed School Improvement Plan for 2018-2019 to the School Committee and will update the Committee on its goals and achievements during the past year.  School Improvement Plans provide an important view into the key initiatives for the upcoming year.  These are public, open meetings to which all members of the community are encouraged to attend.

School Councils, which meet monthly throughout the school year, are comprised of the principal of each school, faculty members and parents.  At the high school a community member and student are part of the council.  School Councils are mandated by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  All School Council meetings are also open, posted meetings.
