PTO BOARD POSITIONS 2023-2024
The PTO is looking for volunteers to be on the board for the 2023-2024 school year. There are a variety of open positions available, see below for the complete list. One available position is the Country School Co-Chair. If you have any interest in this, please reach out to Jessie & Jess. We are happy to meet and chat with anyone who is interested in learning about what this position entails. There are so many great aspects to being a school chair besides sending out these weekly emails! It is a great way to get more involved with the school and get to know all the faculty, staff and other parent volunteers. As School Chair, you have a unique opportunity to work closely with Mrs. Maguire and plan amazing community events. We also work very closely with the other Elementary school chairs to plan these events and appreciations, making it much more fun and easy. If you have any interest in this position, or any other on the board, please reach out to us our Nancy Trodden, the nominating Committee Chair. We would love to have you be a part of the PTO! All nominations are due by February 17,2023. Open positions include: Vice President, Co-Chairs at Woodland, Country, Field, Middle School and High School, Communications, Directory, Community Outreach, Performing Artists & Authors Committee, STEM Committee, Family Engagement, Membership, Parent Education, Westword, Green Team, SEPAC. ELEMENTARY CODING NIGHT Thursday, February 9th – 5:30-7:30 The Weston PTO STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) Council will be hosting a Coding Night for elementary school families in the Woodland Cafeteria and Gym on Thursday, February 9 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Earn prizes by completing various coding games and challenges! No coding experience necessary. Children are required to be accompanied by an adult. More details to come as the date approaches. The PTO STEM Council is looking for volunteers to help set-up/break-down the event and facilitate moving children through the various activity tables. Volunteer roles will vary from “no coding experience” to “some coding experience” required. INCOMING KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION NIGHT Wednesday, February 15th – 6:30-7:30 Administrators, teachers, and parents will present information about our Kindergarten program. During this event, we will also share with you the registration and screening process and give detailed information about our online sign-ups. The forum will be held from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Country School Cafetorium. All children who reside in Weston and who are five years old on or before September 1, 2023 are eligible for registration. Please help us get the word out to families with Incoming Kindergarteners!
CS LUNCH MONITOR SIGN-UP Country School needs lunch monitors!! We are now looking for parent volunteers. We have added more slots for January, February and March. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this sign up. Monitors are needed daily from 11:15-1. Please take as many slots as possible. How fun to get to see your kids in action at school!! |
