Dear Country School families,

Good news! Thanks to your generous donations, WEEFC (Weston Education Enrichment Committee Foundation) hit their fundraising goal! The funds raised will go towards the creation of a state-of-the-art Robotics and Engineering Lab at Weston Middle School, as well as many other innovative grants. Congratulations to Field School for winning the school participation challenge!

FRACTAL FAIR – Hosted by the WHS Math Dept and HS Honors Precalculus Students

Come find out what a fractal is and so much more! The Fractal Fair this year will take place on Tuesday, March 14 from 6:30-8:00PM in the High School Library. It happens to coincide with Pi day (3.14)….what?! What could be better and more appropriate!  The fractal fair is hosted by the math department but run by all the Honors Precalculus students at Weston. There will be 28 groups presenting their projects on a wide range of topics related to fractals. The fair will be appropriate for all kids elementary aged and up, so bring your other children, invite extended family members, uncles, aunts, grandparents, everyone you know who might be curious about fractals, math, and our world. Please mark your calendars and set aside the night for a time of exploration, learning, and innovation.

Save the Date – Science & Technology/Engineering Forum

Please mark your calendars for the  K-12 Science & Technology/Engineering Community Forum.  This forum is being held on Thursday, March 16th at 8:30am in the  Field School  Dining Hall and on Zoom.  This is a part of the Science External Review Process, where the external team will be seeking feedback from community members.  If you would like to submit questions or have comments about the review please contact K-5 Curriculum Specialist Susan Erickson, Ericksons@weston.org.  The Zoom link that will be provided closer to the forum.

Parent volunteers have been doing an incredible job as lunch monitors. Thank you! We have added more slots for March and April. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up. Monitors are needed daily from 11:15-1:00. Please take as many slots as possible. How fun to get to see your kids in action at school!
