CS PTO Update

Hello, Country School Families,

Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards Teacher Appreciation Week! We were able to treat our awesome teachers to a week full of surprises and treats! An extra thank you to our Room Parents for helping make this week special!

Tomorrow is the Weston Town Meeting and we encourage all to attend. Please see below for more information. To show our Weston pride, we encourage all students (and adults) to wear Wildcat attire to school tomorrow. This can include all Country School logos, general Weston gear, Weston sports uniforms, or the classic Weston maroon–anything goes!

We are approaching the final days at Country School for our 3rd graders! Can you believe it? There will be a Third Grade Picnic with Woodland School on Thursday, June 8th where we will hand out yearbooks and t-shirts. Please order yours today by filling out this form ASAP. We need all t-shirt sizes by Monday May 8th to ensure they will be delivered in time.

WESTON TOWN MEETING

Weston Town Meeting is TOMORROW, and Weston Public Schools need YOU to attend and vote!

On Monday, May 8, all Weston residents are urged to attend Town Meeting. Town Meeting is held in the Weston High School auditorium and begins at 7pm.

GO ‘CATS!

What makes spending an evening with your friends and neighbors even better…free stickers!  We will be there to hand out “Go ‘cats!” stickers to all WPS parents/guardians who stop by our table near the WHS entrance. It’s our very own version of an “I voted!” sticker (see the attached photo), so come show your support for our schools and get yours on Monday between 6:15-6:45pm before they run out!

We may feel differently about important issues facing our community–BUT we are all WPS Wildcats. So, while “Go ‘cats!” will mean something different to each family and student, it is our hope that we can wear it proudly together at this essential civic event.

COUNTRY SCHOOL GEAR STORE NOW OPEN

Our Spring gear sale is now live! We have some fun new options and a few fan favorites! You can order your gear until May 17. After that, the store will be closed and we will be unable to place more orders. All items will be shipped to you once the store closes on May 17. Click here for the store and get ready to show your Country School pride!

K-12 ART SHOW 

The annual K-12 Art Show is almost here! There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, May 16, from 5:30-7:30pm in the Weston High School Science Wing. We have been asked to reach out to parents to volunteer their time to hang and display artwork on May 12. We are also looking for volunteers who would be willing to set up the reception and provide snacks and water. We hope parents across all grades will be willing to help out to make this show an extraordinary success and celebration of the artistic achievements of all of our children! COUNTRY SCHOOL PARENT NIGHT OUT

Book your babysitter and join other Country School parents for a night out at Heirloom. Thursday, May 25, 6:30-9:30. Tickets are $45 per person and cover heavy appetizers. BYOB. Please see the invitation for more information and to RSVP. Hope to see you there!

WEEFC STAR AWARDS – CELEBRATE TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12) is the perfect time to acknowledge a special teacher, aide, or staff member who’s made a difference in your student’s life! Make a donation  of your choosing to WEEFC, fill out the Star Award Purchase Form to designate your recipients, and we will create and send a personalized e-certificate. Submissions made through April 26 will be delivered during Teacher Appreciation Week.

CS LUNCH MONITOR SIGN-UP

Parent volunteers have been doing an incredible job as lunch monitors. Thank you! We have added more slots for April and May. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up. Monitors are needed daily from 11:15-1. Please take as many slots as possible. How fun to get to see your kids in action at school!
