CS PTO Update
September 3, 2023
Hello Country School Coyotes!
Thank you for joining us at Field School on Thursday for the Kona Ice Truck! We hope you enjoyed yourselves. It was great to see so many new and familiar faces as everyone gets ready to head back to school.
This Tuesday is the first day back for Grades 1-3, and Visiting Day for pre-K and Kindergarten! Families with pre-K and K students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and visit their classrooms. Pre-K classroom visits are 8:45-9:30am and Kindergarten classroom visits are 10:00-10:45am. Kindergarten families are then invited to the WCCA Kindergarten Kickoff at Alphabet Field from 11:00am-1:00pm. Bring a picnic lunch and meet some new friends! Mrs. Maguire and Woodland principal Mrs. Dickerson will also be there. Siblings welcome.
Parents are invited to volunteer as Lunch Monitors throughout the year; this is a fun way to see your kiddo(s) in action during the school day! If you want to volunteer, join Mrs. Maguire in the cafeteria on September 7th at 9:30am for an orientation. You can also use this Lunch Monitor sign-up to secure your spots now.
Don’t forget to subscribe to the Country School calendar to stay up to date and all school and PTO related activities. And while you’re at, follow us on Instagram @countryschool for school related photos and information!
Have a great first week, Coyotes!

NEW TO THE WESTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
If you are new to the Weston Public Schools and would like to be connected with a current Country School family with similarly aged children who can help you with your big and small questions about school, after school activities, and anything in-between, please sign-up here: New to WPS – Ambassador Request and we will pair you with a Weston Welcome Ambassador. For those in the METCO program who are new to the Weston Public Schools, this program is in addition to the Family Friends program, so please reach out to Kirstin, Binbin and Lisa who will connect you with both a Weston-based family and a Boston-based family.
WESTON WELCOME AMBASSADORS | SIGN-UP
When your family first started in the Weston Public Schools, did you wish you could reach out to a current parent to ask your big and small school-related questions, get advice on where to find certain activities for your kids or how to get involved in the schools and/or town? If you would like to help welcome a new family to Country School, please consider becoming a Weston Welcome Ambassador. It is fun, impactful and strengthens our wonderful community! If interested, please sign-up here.
OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you are interested in volunteering at any point in the year, please email Jess or Amy or visit the PTO membership website. Once in your Membership Toolkit account, click “Sign up to Volunteer” and select Country. There you will find a list of volunteer opportunities.
JOIN THE PTO
PTO membership provides parents and guardians the opportunity to volunteer for events throughout the school year. While membership does not require volunteer time, the hope is that all families in the District will join or renew their membership to support the work the PTO does in our schools on behalf of our children, faculty, staff, administration, and you, our parents and guardians! We work hard to support families and teachers and your membership funds go a long way! Your PTO membership also offers access to an online directory so you can connect with other families in your child(ren)’s school(s). PTO membership also keeps you more informed about special events and other important information to keep you up to speed on what’s happening. Thank you for joining the PTO!
If you have questions about membership or your current membership status, please contact Membership Co-Chairs Theresa Nibi and Jaclyn McDonald.
