CS PTO Update
Hello, Country School Coyotes!
Congratulations on making it through the first week and good luck to the Kindergarteners as they start full-day K tomorrow! We hope everyone is getting settled into their new routines.
To assist with settling in, Mrs. Maguire will host a Parent Forum this Wednesday, 9/13, at 8:30am to talk through details about the beginning of the school year and answer any questions you may have. Please stop into the office upon arrival to get a visitor badge.
A reminder to please sign up for lunch monitoring if you have some time in the middle of the day. Lunch monitors are key just now as we transition back to open-serving lunch lines for the first time since pre-Covid. If you can’t stay for the entire time, that’s OK – join us for an hour! It’s a great way to get a glimpse of your kids as they go about their school day.
Looking ahead to next week, please plan to join us on Wednesday, September 20, from 5-7pm for a picnic with the Country School community as we regather for the new school year. This is a great chance to meet new friends and families and to reconnect with those you already know.
Don’t forget to subscribe to the Country School calendar to stay up to date on all school and PTO-related activities. And follow us on Instagram @countryschool for school-related photos and information!
Have a great week, Coyotes! Jess and Amy Country School PTO Co-Chairs

NEW TO THE WESTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
If you are new to the Weston Public Schools and would like to be connected with a current Country School family with similarly aged children who can help you with your big and small questions about school, after school activities, and anything in-between, please sign-up here: New to WPS – Ambassador Request and we will pair you with a Weston Welcome Ambassador. For those in the METCO program who are new to the Weston Public Schools, this program is in addition to the Family Friends program, so please reach out to Kirstin, Binbin, and Lisa who will connect you with both a Weston-based family and a Boston-based family.
WESTON WELCOME AMBASSADORS | SIGN-UP
When your family first started in the Weston Public Schools, did you wish you could reach out to a current parent to ask your big and small school-related questions, get advice on where to find certain activities for your kids or how to get involved in the schools and/or town? If you would like to help welcome a new family to Country School, please consider becoming a Weston Welcome Ambassador. It is fun, impactful, and strengthens our wonderful community! If interested, please sign up here.
WEEFC FALL FUNDRAISER
On Saturday, September 30, the Weston Education Enrichment Foundation Committee (WEEFC) will be hosting a fall celebration to raise funds for enrichment programming at all five Weston Public Schools. This outdoor, tented event will take place on the Field School field and feature food trucks, live music, and an auction. If you didn’t get a ticket to the now sold-out event, you can add your name to the waitlist by filling out this Google form, and you will be contacted if tickets become available. Visit the event website for more details, and be sure to follow along on Instagram for event updates and info on what WEEFC is doing in our schools.
OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you are interested in volunteering at any point in the year, please email Jess or Amy or visit the PTO membership website. Once in your Membership Toolkit account, click “Sign up to Volunteer” and select Country. There you will find a list of volunteer opportunities.
JOIN THE PTO
PTO membership provides parents and guardians the opportunity to volunteer for events throughout the school year. While membership does not require volunteer time, the hope is that all families in the District will join or renew their membership to support the work the PTO does in our schools on behalf of our children, faculty, staff, administration, and you, our parents and guardians!
We work hard to support families and teachers and your membership funds go a long way! Your PTO membership also offers access to an online directory so you can connect with other families in your child(ren)’s school(s). PTO membership also keeps you more informed about special events and other important information to keep you up to speed on what’s happening. Thank you for joining the PTO! If you have questions about membership or your current membership status, please contact Membership Co-Chairs Theresa Nibi and Jaclyn McDonald.
