Taste Test Day

The final taste test of the year was a huge success!  We celebrated the arrival of warmer weather with  Banana “Nice” Cream and Pineapple Frozen Yogurt!  Students were able to try both flavors.  Students at Field School enjoyed  Banana Nice Cream and were amazed to learn that it contained only frozen bananas.  Many students also sampled Pineapple Frozen Yogurt made with plain yogurt and are hoping that it will be featured on future menus.  Both options were made without added sugar and would work well in homemade popsicle molds.  The recipes come to us from the Chop Chop Kitchen, but can easily be customized to suit your taste.  Thank you for encouraging your students to try new foods, we had a great year of adventurous eating.  If you have any ideas for future taste tests or would like to volunteer next year, contact WPS Nutrition Analyst and Farm to School Coordinator Kelly Shaw.
