WHS Theater Company Original Production of Ether Day (10/27-28)

The Weston High Theater Company has received a commission to create a new play to be performed at the Ninth International Symposium on the History of Anesthesia. We proudly announce our October production of Ether Day, an original play devised by the acting ensemble.

Ether Day tells both the unexpectedly convoluted story of the first use of ether as a surgical anesthetic and the story of dentist, con artist, and medical entrepreneur William T.G. Morton—the man who made modern surgery possible and extended the human lifespan by doing so, but who also was the progenitor of medicine-for-profit.

Ether Day will premiere on October 26, 2017 at the Westin Copley Hotel in Boston as part of the Ninth International Symposium on the History of Anesthesia.

Additional performances on October 27 and 28 at Weston High School at 7:30 pm.

Tickets available online and at the door. Ether Day will run sixty minutes with no intermission.
