Dear Field School Families,

Welcome to the first week of the school year!  In preparation for the week ahead, we wanted to share some helpful information and a few reminders:

Visiting Day: You should have received an email from Dr. Green regarding visiting day, which will be on Tuesday, August 30 from 9:15-10:00am.  Please note the time shift from the originally scheduled 9:00am due to staff meetings in the building that day.  Parents are welcome to join their student(s) for these visits!

Field School Calendar: You can view the Field School calendar for the 2022-2023 school year here.  Remember to click “subscribe” if you would like to add it to the calendar on your device.

Class Lists: We are in the process of finalizing Room Parents, and in the coming weeks, they will create and distribute class lists to each class. In an effort to assist this process, we are urging families to fill out the following form if you haven’t already, and this information will be passed along to your child’s Room Parents:

We have highlighted important dates and current announcements below.  We look forward to seeing many of you at tomorrow’s Ice Cream Social, hosted by the Weston PTO.  Be sure to stop by the elementary school table to say hello–and to purchase the first ever Weston Elementary tee shirt, as featured on our Instagram page!

If you haven’t already, don’t forget to join or renew your PTO membership.  PTO members have access to the online directory through Membership Toolkit and can also subscribe to Westword, the weekly PTO newsletter for all WPS and Weston-related communications.

Back-to-School Ice Cream Social for Weston families:

Hosted by the Weston PTO

Come enjoy delicious ice cream and fun playground time with new and old friends as we celebrate the start of the school year!  This is a wonderful opportunity for new families in town to meet friends, and for existing families to reconnect with old friends. A variety of allergy friendly, individually packaged ice cream treats will be provided by VeeBop’s Ice Cream Truck. Looking forward to seeing you at the Field School on August 29th at 3:30pm! WEEFC Fall Fundraiser:

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, our Annual Fundraiser is back on!  On Saturday, October 1, the Weston Education Enrichment Foundation Committee (WEEFC) will be hosting a community fall celebration to raise funds for enrichment programming at all five Weston Public Schools.  This outdoor tented event will take place from 6:30-10:30pm on the Field School field and will feature food trucks and bar, live music, a silent and live auction–and much more!  Tickets are now on sale, with early bird pricing available through September 4, by clicking here.
